Kyoto Travelers Inn Hotel

For the price, it was appropriate. The entryway and stairways had beautiful murals that I appreciated. For the price paid, this seems like a reasonable place. It's a humble place, not a place of luxury.

It almost seemed deserted. Very few guests were there. Also, the room is very small, especially the bathroom where the ceilings were extremely low. It's an older building with older furniture, but it was clean.

The location is perfect for tourists to viewing the historic relics, temples, and shrines, etc. Not far for subway.

The lobby was beautiful and cheery. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty.

Inexpensive, quiet and right off the bus line.

Tiny bathroom and no amenities. For example, no water in the lobby and a coffee machine that required payment.

central to all areas and sights staff where amazing - 3rd floor traditional futon studio rooms, asked for a second mattress as a little hard ?

This time is the same time as seven years ago,we still chose the tatami room. The tatami room makes people feel very warm and cozy. The room is very clean and spacious.

It's a little cold to stay in a tatami room in winter.

Nothing really outstanding, but basically what we had expected and overall okay.

Kind of old/outdated rooms and no elevator. Maybe we would have expected a little bit more for the money, but we booked quite late.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean as well. Also, the hotel is in a very good location. Being a vegetarian, the staff took extra care in preparing a special western vegetarian meal on days when I paid for breakfast.

I did not find any negatives. Did miss a lift but it was good exercise so no complaints.

Great location. Friendly staff. There’s a public bath in the basement. Very clean. Comfortable. There’s a self heating kettle in the room, cups and green tea. Quiet area, had no problems with sleep. Convenient stores nearby. Beautiful shrine just few minutes walking away from hotel. There’s a microwave on the first floor for heating your food. Good thick curtains to create darkness for a better sleep. We enjoyed our stay.

Wifi connection on the fourth floor was not good…Conditioner in the room was noisy, may be it’s too old.

Very clean and colorful, but a budget stay. The rooms were kind of small. The place needs some updates, but the staff was kind. The location was perfect, near a beautiful shrine.

The staff was super friendly. It is a bit further out of most touristic place, but I loves the location away from the crowds but still close.I can highly recommend this place.

It is not that I did not like it, just want you to be aware that there are no elevators. A staff member carried my luggage without me asking to the 4th floor. Thanks.

It locates in a cultural area, along the most beautiful channel with a lot of sakura trees.

Location was very good for walking to places. However it is a very old hotel without lifts and they had put us on the 4th level which, I think,was a better room, but they could see we (being 70+yrs) would not be able to drag bags up four floors. They altered our booking to the ground level but the room wasn’t very nice. It was more manageable though. Didn’t know this info at time of booking so it should be made more clear to help older folk.
